The intelligent controller ensures that the ECE-approval is not invalidated, as it meassures the consumption on the LED lights. It will disconnect the LED lights if it measures a incorrect consumption, prompting an error in the car on the trailer failure.
The strong aluminum housing works a heat sink.
The box is available in three models, with 7-pin trailer-connecter, 13-pin trailer-connecter or 7-wire cable. All models have 2,36m cable from the cars output to box and 0,37m from box to the trailers plug
